What to Expect
the process
SkinVive is a gel, and, as with other hyaluronic acid-based fillers, after a topical numbing cream has been applied, it'll be injected beneath your skin. skinvive injections are very superficial and less uncomfortable than other filers as it's designed to benefit skin at the surface. Once in your skin it will increase expression of aquaporin, a hydration marker that facilitates the flow of water into and out of cells, which may signal an increase in skin hydration.
is there downtime?
side effects are mild but may include redness, bumps, swelling, bruising, tenderness, firmness, and itching at the injection site. these effects are typically temporary and usually resolve in 7-10 days.
how many sessions do i need?
The recommended frequency of Skinvive injections can vary depending on your individual needs and goals. most patients only need 1 session every 6-12 months.
how much does skinvive cost?
$650
- avoid strenuous exercise, makeup, and sun exposure for the first 24 hours after treatment
- book skinvive every 6-12 months
- do not have any facial procedures performed for 10 days post treatment.
- do not put pressure on the treatment area for 24 hours.
- avoid aspirin, advil, fish oil, flax oil & ibuprofen 1 week prior to treatment to minimize bruising.
- topical and oral arnica may be used to aid in recovery.
